Training Provider Frequently Asked Questions

FarmReady ends on 30 June 2012. Reimbursement will not be available for courses completed after 31 May 2012.

You can avoid delays for your participants by making sure you provide the invoice and receipt for the course and the evidence of completion (a certificate or similar) as soon as the course ends.

The FarmReady Course Registration and Trainer Registration forms have been removed due to the closing of the program

How do the reimbursements work?

Training Providers receive payment for course delivery from participants, and are not eligible to receive additional funding under FarmReady.

Primary Producers and Indigenous Land Managers may be eligible to receive reimbursement of course costs and associated reasonable costs incurred attending FarmReady registered courses, provided they meet all eligibility criteria.

Can my students pay for the course after they've received their FarmReady money?

No. FarmReady is a reimbursements program, which means 'to pay back'. Training course participants must pay for the cost of the course before starting training.

Can I send in the forms for my clients?

No. Training providers cannot submit forms on behalf of course attendees - Application and Claim forms need to be received directly from the person attending the course or their employer.

You may pre-fill the course details only (course name, FRTC number, date and location) but make sure you provide the correct information. If you provide a copy of any FarmReady forms to your clients, you must include the information page that comes with the form.

Can I give my students the FarmReady forms?

Training Providers are welcome to link to the Producers and Land Managers forms page from their own websites, but you may not copy these files to another website.

If you provide a copy of any FarmReady forms to your clients, you must include the information page that comes with the form.

Can more than one Training Provider deliver the same course?

All training providers delivering a course need to apply for registration under FarmReady.

Where course information, course materials, and delivery of the course material are identical, Training Providers can either:

  • The Training Provider who developed the course submits the group's Registration forms together with separate Organisation, Course and Delivery details for each of the Training Providers and a common Course Content section. The contact information in the first page needs to be specific to each Training Provider.

or

  • The Training Provider who developed the course can license its delivery to other Training Providers by providing a letter for each Training Provider to submit with their Registration form (in lieu of course materials). The licensing letter advises FarmReady that the course information, material and delivery is identical and that the original Training Provider is responsible for ensuring that the course will continue to be delivered as registered with FarmReady.

Can I talk about FarmReady when I'm marketing a course?

Remember to remove all references to FarmReady for courses ending after 31 May - on your website, in flyers and brochures, in your advertising - as these courses cannot be eligible for FarmReady and remove any remaining references to FarmReady by 1 July.

You can request a copy of the FarmReady logo to use when you promote your course - send an e-mail to admin@farmready.gov.au and we'll send you the artwork files and a copy of the Conditions of Use.

Any use of the FarmReady logo in paid advertising must be approved ahead of time by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. Please forward the item to FarmReady at least 4 working days before your deadline.

When referring to the FarmReady Reimbursement Grants program, please use conditional language such as 'may be eligible for reimbursement under FarmReady'. Do not use words and phrases such as free, discount, rebate, refund, Government-funded, 100%, all or full (eg '100% full refund' is not acceptable).

Can I have someone else take bookings for me?

Yes. We understand that having a local person or organisation organise course bookings on your behalf can be helpful, especially for smaller Training Providers. Please contact us beforehand to discuss your proposed arrangements and ensure that the administration of your course will not delay participants' reimbursement claims.
