Course Name: Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in deciduous fruit tree crops to manage pests & diseases in a changing environment

FarmReady Course Number: FRTC00377

Training Provider: Department of Agriculture & Food Western Australia

Course Description:

This course is designed to assist pome and summer fruit growers to implement an integrated pest management system in their orchard. As climate change influences seasonal conditions, pests and disease populations are likely to vary in their nature and intensity. Fruit growers will therefore be required to adapt their control methods accordingly. By attending these workshops, participants will be able to ascertain which pests and diseases are present in their orchards, assess the potential level of risk of damage to their crop and identify control options. Where possible, the reliance on chemicals will be reduced by the choice of more sustainable techniques such as biological, cultural or physical controls.

Course Cost: $250.00
