Course Description:

An introduction to the importance of farm planning for new crop diversification and the use of resource mapping for Natural Resource Management. The course will start with defining the new crop diversification process followed by an explanation of the value of resource maps and accurate data collation for crop decisions. The course will then explain how to collect and organise resource data and analyse the data. The course will also cover the use of tools, value adding, and marketing principles and give examples of farmers who have used resource data to diversify into new crops and farm more productively.
